May Hill     2+ FIRECRESTS and 4+ drumming Great Spotted Woodpeckers this morning. (Mark Hobson).

Forest of Dean     A Goshawk over Crabtree Hill this morning. (Ken Hurcombe). A Willow Warbler, three Stonechats, four Crossbills and a Goshawk again on Crabtree Hill this afternoon. (Neil Duggan). At Crabtree Hill three Ravens, a Jay, 4+ Willow Warblers, two Blackcaps, 16 Chiffchaffs, a FIRECREST, two Goshawks, a Treecreeper, a Bullfinch heard, a Marsh Tit  heard at top of Crabtree, six Lesser Redpolls, c20 Siskins heard, 12 Crossbill, a Green Woodpecker, three Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a male Stonechat, five Lesser Black-backed Gulls, five Stock Doves and two Greylags today. At Bream Woods at least four Hawfinches heard, also three Great Spotted Woodpeckers. (Stephen Curtis & Carol Rushton). A male Goosander with a Gadwall and 12 Mandarins at Cannop ponds. A female Goosander and six Mandarins at Mallards Pike. (Steve Pullen). On a GNS meeting at Crabtree Hill birds included Long-tailed Tit, Coal Tit, Nuthatch, Siskin, Chiffchaff, Treecreeper, Goldcrest, Mandarin, Raven, Goshawk and Buzzard. (Alan Waterman).

WWT Slimbridge    A Little Stint on the Dumbles this morning. (Geoff Moyser). A Willow Warbler in the matrix this morning. A Brambling with Chaffinches on the trees at the end of the back track near Hogarth hide. (Roberta Goodall). A male Wheatear at Middle Point and 233 White-fronted Geese still. (Slimbridge Sightings). Ten Cattle Egrets on the far bank of South Lake at 12:45 pm. This afternoon a SPOONBILL on the Tack Piece and the Spotted Redshank on the central flood at 3pm. (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

Shepherd’s Patch     This evening 11 Cattle Egrets with Little Egrets in fields NE of Shepherd’s Patch. Viewable from the public footpath from Tudor Arms to Slimbridge village. (Tim McGrath).

Frampton     A Zebra Finch at the sailing lake this morning. Late afternoon around the pools 100+Sand Martins, a Willow Warbler, 41 Chiffchaffs, a male Reed Bunting, a Yellowhammer, 15 Blackcaps, 18 Linnets, a Goshawk, four Cetti’s Warblers, a Kingfisher, 32 Tufted Ducks, 17 Greylags, 11 Canada Geese and six Barnacle Geese. This afternoon, 150+ Sand Martins, a Shelduck briefly, four Common Cranes over heading S, two Oystercatchers, the Ross’s Goose and at least four Nuthatches singing. (Steve Pullen).

Saul Warth     Early morning at high tide a Willow Warbler singing at the sewage works and nearby 21 Fieldfares. Also 42 Curlews, two Redshanks, a pair of Oystercatchers, 21 Shelducks, 15+ Coots, 4+ Skylarks, a male Reed Bunting and two Chiffchaffs. (MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Chiffchaffs singing and a Reed Bunting along canal. On the water, c50 Tufted Ducks, c100 Teal, c40 Wigeon, five Pintails, eight Shelducks, four Gadwalls, c30 Shovelers, a few Mallard, a Curlew heard, Lapwing and a Black-tailed Godwit today. (Tom Mabbett).

Cobney Meadows     Five Mute Swans, 32 Shelducks, 100 Wigeon, 12 Gadwalls, 40 Teal, ten Mallards, 15 Pintails, 30 Shovelers, five Tufted Ducks, ten Little Egrets, two Oystercatchers, a Lapwing and three Curlews (one of which was colour-ringed, a bird not previously seen in the Severn Vales, which had been ringed as a chick in 2021 in the Lugg Meadows, Herefordshire). Haw Bridge East     Two Curlews, 500 Black-headed Gulls, 500 Common Gulls and two singing Chiffchaffs. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     22 Greylags, seven Canada Geese, a Shelduck, 22 Wigeon, a Gadwall, ten Teal, ten Mallards, 19 Tufted Ducks, five Coots, a Blackcap, four Chiffchaffs and a Treecreeper today. (Mike Smart).

Hasfield Ham     Two Curlews bubbling today. (Mike Smart).

Rodborough    Two Red Kites over at 1:05pm drifting NE. (Giles Diggle).

Chedworth     A Willow Warbler singing in Chedworth meadow today. (Harvey Sherwood).

Cleeve Hill     Near Wontley Gate a Wheatear, a pair of Stonechats, a Yellowhammer and a Raven. Two Red Kites patrolling the scarp, several displaying Buzzards and two singing Linnets. A Reed Bunting singing in the Masts Field. (Steve Brown).

Leckhampton     Around the junction of Leckhampton Road and Moorend Road a female Sparrowhawk, a pair of Stock Doves and 2 or 3 Greenfinches heard. (Steve Brown).

Halmore     In and around the woods today a pair of Bullfinches, four Greenfinches, three Nuthatches, two Treecreepers, a singing Blackcap, many Chiffchaffs, several Siskins, two Mistle Thrushes, two Song Thrushes, four Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Tawny Owl calling briefly in full daylight, a pair of Ravens, two Buzzards, a pair of Shelducks over, a Brimstone and a very early Orange Tip. (Chris Newton).

Cheltenham     A Pipistrelle around the treetops in Pittville Lawn this evening. (Howard Taylor).
