WWT Slimbridge The Summer Walkway is due to open (Sat 27th April) and the WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT has returned to the reserve for an incredible 4th year. Also today an OSPREY flew downriver and a Cuckoo calling. (Slimbridge Sightings).
Coombe Hill Meadows Two White Storks (ringed Knepp birds), two Great White Egrets, 15 Little Egrets, nine Cattle Egrets, ten Grey Herons, a Bar-tailed Godwit, five Black-tailed Godwits, three Whimbrels, two Greenshanks, two Avocets, three Egyptian Geese, an adult LITTLE GULL, a Cuckoo heard, six Sedge Warblers, six Whitethroats and two Reed Buntings.
