Frampton pools A Great White Egret, 100+ Swifts, 50+ Sand Martins, a few Swallows and House Martins, a Cuckoo and six Common Terns this morning. This evening 200+ Swifts, 250+ House Martins, 150+ Sand Martins, 50+ Swallows and a Hobby. (Nick Goatman). At Splatt Bridge and the North reedbed area three Great White Egrets, four Little Egrets, four Redshanks, two Oystercatchers, two drake Shovelers, three Hobbies, four Common Cranes and a Cuckoo. A female Goosander flew over Court Lake, heading for the river at 10:35am. There was an almost continuous NW movement of 450+ Swift and 300+ House Martin between 8:30am and 10:45am. (Terry Grant).
Saul Warth At high tide this morning three Knot, a Grey Plover, a Sanderling, 21 Ringed Plovers, 75+ Dunlins, six Curlews, five Oystercatchers, two Redshanks, a Common Crane flew off N, a Great White Egret, two Little Egrets, 20+ Swifts and a drake Mandarin flew N up the canal. (MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows This morning birds included two Greylags, eight Canada Geese, 26 Mute Swans, an Egyptian Goose, a pair of Shelducks, two Shovelers, seven Gadwalls, 27 Mallards including two broods of ducklings, five Tufted Ducks, three Cormorants, a Buzzard, 11 Avocets including a pair with three recently hatched young on the South scrape, four Oystercatchers, a breeding plumaged Dunlin, a Curlew, two Redshanks, eight Lapwings, two Little Egrets, a Great White Egret, a pair of Little Grebes, c35 House Martins with 14 Swifts and seven Swallows, eight singing Skylarks, seven Sedge Warblers, eight Reed Buntings, four Linnets, three Yellow Wagtails and two female Redstarts, 1 with 2 juveniles. Birds singing but heard only included Reed Warbler, Wren, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Blackcap and Chiffchaff. (Caroline Quinn/Paul Clark).
