WWT Slimbridge     The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT singing at Middle Point again today and showing well. (Mike Davis/Steve Money). On the Tack piece four Little Egrets, three Great White Egrets, an Egyptian Goose and c4 Green Sandpipers. The summer plumaged Spotted Redshank on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. 156+ adult Avocets and at least four chicks and three Little Ringed Plovers on South Lake. Coombe Hill Meadows     A QUAIL calling from the field adjacent to the path to the new hide from the canal this morning. (Nick Hughes). Also today 20 Mute Swans, a Greylag, eight Canada Geese, four Gadwalls, 30 Mallards, a Cormorant, a Great White Egret, a Grey Heron, ten Coots and an adult on the canal with five young, two Oystercatchers and a chick, three Little Ringed Plovers, 14 Lapwings, four Curlews, at least two Redshanks, an adult Common Tern and song from Skylark, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Reed Bunting. Saul Warth     At high tide 98 Shelducks including 28 ducklings, 36 Curlews, 11 Oystercatchers, a Kestrel, six adult Great Black-backed Gulls, four Whitethroats, a Reed Warbler, a brief Little Owl, the first since January. Also the first patch Marbled White and Ringlet. (MK).

Hasfield Ham     A reeling Grasshopper Warbler again mid-morning. (Les Ditchburn).
