Frampton     At Splatt flashes this morning two Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, six Tufted Ducks, a Redshank, c30 Avocets on the river, two Oystercatchers, a distant Cuckoo calling, three Swifts, 12+ Swallows, 20+ House Martins, two Sand Martins, 4+ Skylarks and a Raven calling. (MK).

Ashleworth Ham     At this morning’s ringing session birds caught included four Redstarts, five Whitethroats, three Lesser Whitethroats, four Blackcaps, eight Chiffchaffs, two Goldcrests, three Bullfinches and three Reed Buntings. On the reserve a Little Egret, two Yellow Wagtails, two Ravens and a singing Yellowhammer. Wotton-Under-Edge     At Cotswold Edge Golf Club this afternoon a pair of Canada Geese with three goslings, two pairs of Greylags and six goslings, three Mallards, a Red-legged Partridge, a Red Kite and a Swift. (Mike Tranter).
