At Parkend behind the Fountains Inn a Dipper, a Grey Wagtail and a pair of Mandarins. At Nagshead a male Pied Flycatcher and a Redstart. (Robin Nelson).
Highnam Woods This afternoon two singing NIGHTINGALES and two Marsh Tits. (Dave Owen).
Westbury-on-Severn A SANDWICH TERN feeding off Westbury Strand today, from 12-2pm at least. Also a first-summer Mediterranean Gull feeding on flying insects with other gulls over Lower Dumball, Rodley, and a Red Kite just across the river from there. (John Phillips).
Frampton A male Redstart this evening along the hedge near the “Pallas’s Wood” between the pools. At 7:30pm a LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER flew into the wood, calling. Slimbridge A male Pied Flycatcher in a private garden this morning, very scarce this side of the Severn. (Mary Goatman per Nick Goatman).
Coombe Hill Meadows This morning two Green Woodpeckers, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 15 Chiffchaffs, eight Sedge Warblers, five Willow Warblers, four Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Cetti’s Warbler heard, four Blackcaps, a Redstart and nine Reed Buntings. (Dave Owen).
