Eastleach Martin     Two QUAILS calling N of Sheephouse Farm at 1pm, also a singing Corn Bunting. (Jon Mercer).

WWT Slimbridge     A Little Ringed Plover and a Greenshank on the Rushy, five Ruff (2 males) and a Common Sandpiper on South Lake and c15 Green Sandpipers on site. (Paul Taylor).

Frampton     Seven Yellow Wagtails (2 juvs), two Grey Wagtails, a Lesser Whitethroat, eight Whitethroats, five Reed Warblers, two Garden Warblers and four Yellowhammers today. (Nick Goatman).

Gloucester     At Horsebere Brook Flood Storage Area this evening a Lapwing, a Common Sandpiper and a Snipe still present and also two Kingfishers, three Whinchats, a Stonechat, a Yellow Wagtail and 60 Goldfinches. (Andy Jayne).

Symonds Yat     The resident Peregrines and their juvenile male, Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, two juvenile Goshawks, Ravens, two Mandarins, a Kingfisher and four Goosanders. Also a Painted Lady, a Silver-washed Fritillary, Gatekeeper, Ringlet, Large and Small White, Meadow Brown and Holly Blue butterflies and Hummingbird Hawk Moths. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Coombe Hill Meadows    A pair of Mute Swans with four cygnets, a Greylag, an eclipse Wigeon, a Teal, 60 Mallards, eight Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, three pairs of Coots with nearly full grown young at the Wharf, south scrape and Long Pool, 80 Lapwings feeding on cut hayfields, a Little Ringed Plover, a Green Sandpiper, a Yellow Wagtail, a Reed Warbler and at least five Sedge Warblers. Belated news of a Marsh Harrier reported on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th July. (Les Brown/ Mike Smart).

Forthampton     Beside the River Severn near Forthampton a male Curlew with three just-flying chicks on 21st July, still there today with at least two chicks. (Mike Smart).

Clapton-on-the-Hill     Two Buzzards, 50+ Lapwings, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Little Egret today. Also a Weasel. (Ben Hilder).
