Coombe Hill Meadows A pair of Mute Swan with four cygnets, 16 Greylags, 44 Canada Geese, two juvenile Shelducks, seven Gadwalls, 17 Mallards, three Little Egrets, three Grey Herons, a Cormorant over, a Buzzard, two immature Little Ringed Plovers, 54 Lapwings, four Snipe, an adult male Ruff in breeding plumage, a Common Sandpiper, four Green Sandpipers, 1 or 2 Whinchats, c5 Sedge Warblers, two Willow Warblers singing, 2-3 juvenile Chiffchaffs, five Linnets, a Yellowhammer singing and 1 or 2 Reed Buntings today. Twyning At Upham Meadow still three juvenile Curlews and at least 15 Skylarks today. (Mike Smart).
Symonds Yat From Yat Rock viewpoint the Peregrine pair and their juvenile male, Buzzards, Ravens, a calling Goshawk, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Grey Heron, ten Goosanders on the Wye, Stock Doves, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker, Song Thrushes, Jays, Swifts, Swallows and House Martins. Butterflies included Holly Blue, Comma, Common Blue and Holly Blue, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral, Small, Large, Green-veined Whites and a Silver-washed Fritillary. (Chris & Phil Andrews).
Forest of Dean At Nagshead a Treecreeper, a Golden-ringed Dragonfly (pic), a pair of Southern Hawkers, two Emperors (pic), a Common Darter, Azure and Emerald Damselflies, Small White, Peacock and Red Admiral butterflies.
