Gloucester     At Horsbere Brook Flood Storage Lake today four Mute Swans (2 ads, 2 cygnets), 14 Mallards, three Grey Herons, a Little Egret, 16 Moorhens, 12 Coots, a Buzzard, a female Stonechat, 2+ Whinchats and a Raven. (Gord Avery). Two Common Terns flying high over the Cattle Market this evening. (Mike Smart).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Today six Whinchats, four Redstarts seen and at least four others calling, three Dunlins,  three Little Ringed Plovers, four Green Sandpipers, 30+ Lapwings, a Lesser Whitethroat, three Whitethroats and still good numbers of Sedge Warbler along the ditches feeding young. A visiting birding reported a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker on the towpath by the Grundon hide. (Ian Hull).

Bussage     Three Ravens over the Toadsmoor Valley earlier today and on the large lake a Little Grebe and two Common Terns, in the woods several Long-tailed Tits and three Bullfinches. (Michael Cook).

Brimscombe     A Dipper on the Frome at SO891024 and a pair of Grey Wagtails. (Michael Cook).

Tarlton     This afternoon a Wheatear on Sandpool Lane between Tarlton and Coates at ST950988 and a Meadow Pipit. (Michael Cook).

Frampton      At the Sailing Lake early morning an adult Yellow-legged Gull, two Lesser Whitethroats, six Reed Warblers, four Linnets and 12 Pied Wagtails. (Nick Goatman).

Forest of Dean     Seven Swifts over Lords Hill, Coleford at 8:05pm. (Frank Williams).

Cherington     Around the lake a Kingfisher, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Grey Wagtail, a Kestrel, two Treecreepers, a Bullfinch, three Coal Tits, three Tufted Ducks, five Coots, two Mallards and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher/Martin Greenish).

Ashleworth Ham     A Tawny Owl calling early on, and during a CES ringing session birds trapped included three Redstarts, three Whitethroats, two Lesser Whitethroats, three Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaff, five Willow Warblers, two Long-tailed Tits, a Linnet, seven Bullfinches and a Reed Bunting.
