Guscar Rocks/Aylburton Warth This morning two juvenile Shelducks, a Little Egret, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, five Oystercatchers, 70 Ringed Plovers, a Whimbrel, 600 Curlews, a Turnstone, a Sanderling, 72 Dunlins, four Common Sandpipers, two Greenshanks, a Kingfisher, three Whinchats, two Wheatears, five Yellow Wagtails and four Grey Wagtails. WWT Slimbridge A GREAT WHITE EGRET landed in the Bottom New Piece early afternoon and nine CURLEW SANDPIPERS from Zeiss hide. (Jake King). Late report of an Osprey over the reserve today seen by a member of WWT staff, no further details. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Tirley A Tawny Owl calling at 5am.Later a Bullfinch, 14+ Swallows, 11+ House Martins, a Blackcap, four Chiffchaffs, three Stock Doves, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, eight Goldfinches and nine Linnets. (Mark Grieve).
Coombe Hill Meadows A Wigeon, 25 Teal, 50 Mallards, 40 Lapwings, three Snipe, two Ruffs, at least seven Green Sandpipers, a Greenshank, a Little Owl calling from near the Snipe Pool at dusk, at least three Tawny Owls calling along the canal after dark. (Mike Smart).
