Coombe Hill Meadows This evening: 18 Black-tailed Godwits, 13 Curlews, four Dunlins, three Oystercatchers, two Snipe, 400 Wigeon including the leucistic bird, 400 Teal, 55 Shovelers and two singing Chiffchaffs. (Mike Smart).
Cirencester A Barn Owl at 2:50am by the A417 perched on a post by the road opposite the JMAC barracks. (Mark Grieve).
Ashley Late morning a Red Kite, 11 Skylarks, two Green Woodpeckers, six Buzzards, two Kestrels, three Chiffchaffs, a male Peregrine, 12 Fieldfares, 20 Linnets, 30 Redwings, three Stock Doves, a Sparrowhawk, a Raven, a Stonechat, two Bullfinches, three Jays, a Nuthatch and a Tawny Owl. Cotswold Water Park East On Pit 111 birds included 30 Tufted Ducks, a Pochard, two Great Crested Grebes, three Gadwalls, two Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, a Red Kite, five Chiffchaffs, a male Reed Bunting and a Treecreeper. On Pit 111a two male Red Crested Pochards, 15 Cormorants and a Green Woodpecker. On Pit 126 30 Tufted Ducks, a Kingfisher and two Green Woodpeckers. (John Fletcher).
