Alderley     A garden male Siskin this morning, a summer garden first. (Vic Polley).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning three Cuckoos, a Grasshopper Warbler, two Willow Warbler, three Chiffchaffs, two male Reed Warblers, Whitethroats plentiful, a Lesser Whitethroat heard, a Kingfisher, nine Curlews, an Oystercatcher with 42 Lapwings on mowed meadows, a Bullfinch pair with three young, five Goldfinches, a Buzzard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two pairs of Mute Swan (1 pair with 8 cygnets), five Cormorants over and three Grey Herons. Cheltenham     A Little Egret fishing in the River Chelt at Sandford Park, a short way NW (downstream) from the Keynsham Road bridge, at 11:20am today. (Andrew Simon).
