Painswick Beacon Highlights this morning from 7:15am-12 noon an OSPREY flew S at 10:15am, 39 Buzzards, two Red Kites, five Sparrowhawks, two Hobbies, 36 House Martins, 22 Swallows, 64 Meadow Pipits, three Redwings, 29 Siskins, 27 Chaffinches, 47 Linnets, 16 Goldfinches, 19 alba Wagtails, 24 Common Gulls, nine Skylarks, four Crossbills, five Yellowhammers, a Reed Bunting, a male RING OUZEL at 9:15am, four Song Thrushes, four Blackbirds, five Mistle Thrushes and 25 Starlings. Symonds Yat In the Yat Rock area today the Peregrine pair, an adult and a juvenile Goshawk, a female Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, Stock Doves, Ravens, Long-tailed Tits, Mistle Thrushes, c20 Siskins, a Grey Heron, a Kingfisher, six Swallows and three Jays. Other sightings included Speckled Wood, Small Copper and Large White butterflies, a Hornet, a Bank Vole and Fallow Deer rutting. (Chris & Phil Andrews).
