Other birds included c15 Shovelers, a drake Pochard, two Canada Geese, two Egyptian Geese, Lapwings, a Grey Heron, a Little Egret, three Grey Wagtails, three Chiffchaffs, a Stock Dove, two Cetti’s Warblers heard, a Green Woodpecker heard, three Meadow Pipits, four Reed Buntings and c20 each of Redwings and Fieldfares on South Cerney playing field (Richard Williams). Two Egyptian Geese viewable from Sailing Club on Pit 16, also seven Red Crested Pochards on Pit 12. Saul Warth     A male MERLIN and the WATER PIPIT again today. (Paul Masters/Andy Chapman). Also a Common Sandpiper today. (Roberta Goodall).

Forest of Dean     The GREAT GREY SHRIKE at Crabtree Hill again today until 1:30pm at least. (Ian Ralphs/Derek Lightstone). A GREAT GREY SHRIKE again in the cleared area at Russell’s Bank due W of New Fancy View car park. (John Carter). A distant calling LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER in Haywood plantation this afternoon. Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the Peregrine pair and two intruding Peregrines, Buzzards, two Goshawks, a displaying pair of Sparrowhawks, a Red Kite, Ravens, two Marsh Tits, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay, a Song Thrush, a pair of Stock Doves, a Grey Heron, c40 Lapwings, seven Goosanders (4m, 3f) and a Treecreeper. Also a Fox, ten Fallow Deer and a Bank Vole. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Birds today included 29 Shelducks, 605+ Wigeon, c750 Teal, 78 Pintails, c30 Shovelers, a Grey Heron, at least 500 Lapwings, three Golden Plovers, four Snipe, a Black-tailed Godwit, a Curlew heard, at least two Great Spotted Woodpeckers drumming, c5 Pied Wagtails, 15 Meadow Pipits,  20 Fieldfares and a Reed Bunting. Cherington     At Cherington Lake this afternoon birds included four Little Grebes, a Little Egret, a Buzzard, two Grey Wagtails, nine Long tailed Tits and a Tawny Owl hooting at 5pm. (John Fletcher).
