Symonds Yat In the Yat Rock area the resident Peregrines, two female Sparrowhawks, Buzzards, Ravens, Swifts, Swallows and Sand Martins, a Great Spotted Woodpecker with one young, a Jay, Stock Doves, a Grey Heron and a Lesser Black-backed Gull eating an Eel on the shingle river bank below the viewpoint. Also a Club-tailed Dragonfly, Hornets, a Rose Chafer, a Speckled Bush Cricket, a Wood mouse, a Speckled Wood butterfly and a rare mariscolore form female Common Blue butterfly.
