Barnsley     A HONEY BUZZARD at 2pm in flight W of Barnsley. (Martin Wright).

Leighterton     1+ QUAIL at 1:15pm and 1:30pm calling SE of the village. (Ken Heron). No sign this evening but 7+ Corn Buntings, a family of six Whitethroats (2 ads, 4 juvs), four Linnets, three Skylarks, a pale Buzzard and a Tawny Owl calling. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     Four GREAT WHITE EGRETS this morning from Zeiss hide then flew S towards Sharpness at 10:20am. (Terry Stevenson). Two Peregrines over the Canoe Trail. (Sam Walker).

Cleeve Hill     This morning two Corn Buntings, 16 Yellowhammers, 6+ Skylarks, two Whitethroats, eight Linnets, 11 Swallows and a male Sparrowhawk. Also a Clouded Yellow butterfly and four Dark Green Fritillaries. (John Fletcher/Martin Greenish). Pic by John.
