WWT Slimbridge 51 LITTLE GULLS circled South Lake, then the Top Hut and carried on NE at 2:35pm. (Martin McGill). A Great White Egret feeding on the scrape viewed from Zeiss hide. (Ian Hull).
Purton Late afternoon eight LITTLE GULLS, 150 Black-tailed Godwits, 150 Sand Martins, 140 Meadow Pipits, 90 Linnets, 15 House Martins, seven Swallows and a Lesser Redpoll. Early this morning ten LITTLE GULLS, two Goldeneye, four Knot, a female MARSH HARRIER, a female MERLIN, 2200 Meadow Pipits, 100’s Linnet and Goldfinches, 35 Siskins, five Yellow Wagtails, a Tree Pipit, a Brambling and a Yellowhammer. Sharpness Four adult LITTLE GULLS flew high N up river past SARA at 11:20am. 3-5 Redstarts at the picnic site, also six Willow Warblers and 12 Blackcaps. (Andy Jordan).
Saul A summer plumage Cattle Egret and a Little Egret in the first field on the right after Cadbury Bridge at 11:50am. (MK).
Saul Warth At Hock Ditch at noon 50+ House Martins, 30+ Sand Martins, 4+ Swallows, a male White Wagtail, 20+ Meadow Pipits, 20+ Linnets and eight Goldfinches. On the river a pair of Goldeneyes, on the mud at least four LITTLE GULLS (2ads), a Common Tern and two Bar-tailed Godwits. (MK).
Frampton Two SHORT_EARED OWLS from Splatt Bridge this evening. (Gordon Hodgson). Five LITTLE GULLS and a Common Tern at 4:50pm on the Sailing Lake. (Les Ditchburn). This morning, 60+ Curlews, five Whimbrels, two Bar-tailed Godwits, two Yellow Wagtails, a Great White Egret and two Crossbills. (Neil Smart). A female MARSH HARRIER over the 100-Acre at 2:20pm viewed from the towpath at Splatt Bridge. Also on the flashes a pair of Mandarins, another male flew S, 23 Gadwalls, six Wigeon, 21 Teal, three Redshanks and 60+ Sand Martins flew S. (MK).
