Tresham This morning a male Whinchat on top of oil seed rape from the
track running S from Tresham near the overhead wires and a Hobby disturbing a flock of 40 Linnets, returning 10 minutes later. Also 2+ Corn Buntings. No cars down the track please, as the farmer is nervous about more thefts in this area. (Vic Polley).
WWT Slimbridge From Zeiss hide over the high tide two Dunlins, 104 Avocets, two Ruff, seven Green Sandpipers, 22 Black-tailed Godwits and 36 Redshanks. (Ian Hull).
Symonds Yat In the Yat Rock area the resident Peregrines including a Strathdon Cliff juvenile Peregrine nearby, two Red Kites, a Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, Ravens, Sand Martins, House Martins, Swifts, Swallows, four Mandarins, a Kingfisher, Stock Doves and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. Other sightings included Red Admiral, Ringlet, Meadow Brown and Small Tortoiseshell butterflies, Hummingbird Hawkmoths, a Hornet, Rose Chafers, male and female White-legged Damselflies, Fallow Deer and a Bank Vole.
