Cotswold Water Park West At Shorncote Reedbed around Pits 85a and b birds today included three Common Terns, a Kingfisher, a Red Kite, an Oystercatcher, three Lapwings, two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Little Grebe, a pair of Mute Swans with eight cygnets, 13 Mallards, male and female Tufted Duck, a Gadwall, two Grey Herons, four Bullfinches, two Greenfinches, three Grey Wagtails, a Green Woodpecker, two Stock Doves, five Swifts, a Swallow, two Cetti’s Warblers, eight Sedge Warblers including a family of five, three Reed Warblers and seven Reed Bunting. Forest of Dean At Whitecroft Siskins visiting the garden, a red and yellow ringed Dipper along the brook between Whitecroft and Parkend, a Beautiful Demoiselle and a Marbled White. (Bernie Dumbleton).
