Sharpness A MANX SHEARWATER briefly off of Coastguards at 7:20am. Then off of Middle Point at 9:10am (Martin McGill) and finally off of Hock Ditch at 9:50am. It was drifting back down in the middle of the river at 10:25am. Also a female Stonechat and a female Sparrowhawk. (MK).
Coombe Hill Meadows The LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER still distant this morning amongst Lapwing and Teal, from the Grundon Hide. Also a Jay on a fencepost near the Snipe Pool, and a Green Woodpecker and female Great Spotted Woodpecker from the dragonfly bench beside the canal. (Andy Jayne/Andy & Sue Gibbons). WWT Slimbridge A CURLEW SANDPIPER amongst the Dunlin and Ringed Plovers from Zeiss hide this morning. (Paul Masters). The juvenile Black Tern still over South Lake and the Spotted Redshank still. Frampton From Splatt Bridge this afternoon a SANDWICH TERN flew downriver at 4:20pm, a Yellow Wagtail, a Grey Wagtail, 62 Meadow Pipits, 15 Swallows, eight Chiffchaffs and a SPOONBILL feeding mid-channel. (Gordon Hodgson).
