WWT Slimbridge The CATTLE EGRET on South Lake again today and a Goshawk from Kingfisher hide. (Ian Hull). This morning an Egyptian Goose in the N roadside field. A Ringed Plover from the Estuary Tower at midday. Early afternoon two Knot from Hogarth hide; later two Peregrines from Zeiss hide. (Andy & Sue Gibbons). The drake Goldeneye still on South Lake. (Emile Baudot). A Barn Owl just outside Slimbridge village this evening, flushed from its day roost by Jackdaws. (Scott Petrek).
Frampton At Court Lake a male Goldeneye, a male Mandarin, 22 Little Egrets, two Shelducks, two Oystercatchers, 36 Barnacle Geese, 38 Greylags, 16 Canada Geese and a singing Chiffchaff. (Nick Goatman).
Horsley A Barn Owl hunting at 5:17pm at ST811978. This field is just east of Pyke Quarry Recycling (centre aka “Horsley tip”), N of the B4058 where it turns from heading W to sharp S at the T junction by South Lodge. Probably the same bird hunting 18/02/20 at 3:30pm. (David Bullock).
