Forest of Dean A shrike sp at Kensley today just by 90 degree bend in the tarmac road at Crabtree Hill but bad light prevented ID. Also 20 Greenfinches, 40 Lesser Redpolls, 12 Crossbills, 20 Linnets, 20 Siskins, a Chaffinch, 20 Goldfinches and 12 Meadow Pipits. (Rob Husbands).

WWT Slimbridge A Bittern flew into the reedbed between Van den Bovenkamp hide and Kingfisher hide. On the Rushy three Spotted Redshanks, a Greenshank, ten Redshanks, 15 Black-tailed Godwits, c50 Teal and an Avocet. From Zeiss hide three White-fronted Geese, the SPOONBILL and two Great White Egrets. 11 Grey Plovers, three Little Stints and a Wheatear at Middle Point. The Ross’s Goose still on the Dumbles.
