WWT Slimbridge Birds today included a Marsh Harrier from Zeiss hide, Peregrine, Water Rail, Spotted Redshanks, Greenshank, Little Stint, the Ross’s Goose, Snipe and Great White Egret. (Chris Newton/Dursley Birdwatching Club/Dot Jones). From Hogarth hide a Grey Heron, c70 Lapwings, c50 Teal, six Shovelers, eight Ruff, six Gadwalls and 12 Black-tailed Godwits. On South Lake two Cattle Egrets, c30 Teal, c50 Tufted Ducks, 12 Pochards, a Little Grebe, a Great Crested Grebe and ten Mallards. (Dave Tait).
