WWT Slimbridge On South Lake causeway at 4pm three Cattle Egrets and a Snipe. (Mike Davis).
Saul village Four Cattle Egrets, a Little Egret and 13 Mandarins this afternoon. (Roy Widgery).
Cotswolds At Rendcomb a Kingfisher flew under the bridge at first light. From Perrott’s Brook to Baunton, a Buzzard, a Sparrowhawk heard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Stock Dove, numerous Fieldfares and Redwings and c50 Siskins in small groups. In Baunton a group of c10 Bullfinches including an adult male feeding on Ash keys. (Steve Brown).
Chedworth At the Roman Villa a Tawny Owl calling at 12:15pm and then from 12:45pm until 1pm, a Raven, 2/3 noisy Jays, two Nuthatches and a small flock of Long-tailed Tits, also many Fieldfares and Redwings throughout the area. (Steve Brown).
Ashleworth Ham Late afternoon four Canada Geese, 23 Wigeon, 172 Teal, 30 Mallards, two Shovelers, three Snipe, a Kingfisher and nine Long-tailed Tits. At dusk, at least 250 Canada Geese came in from the N to roost. (Mike Smart).
