WWT Slimbridge This morning from Zeiss hide birds included a female Marsh Harrier, a Peregrine, a Great White Egret, a pair of Common Cranes, a Peregrine, at least three Water Rails, c60 White-fronted Geese, a flock of Golden Plovers, large flocks of Dunlins and Lapwings with two Little Stints, male and female Stonechat and a Cetti’s Warbler. Gloucester The male BLACK REDSTART on the E side of the Cathedral this morning. (Colin Edwards).
Frampton Two Barn Owls at Splatt Bridge this afternoon and a Tawny Owl calling. (Dot Jones). A drake Goldeneye on the Sailing Lake. (Jeremy Holland/Nick Goatman). A SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF and a Common Chiffchaff on the S side of the lake. (Nick Goatman).
Tewkesbury At Lower Lode pits this evening ten Mute Swans, six Wigeon, three Gadwalls, ten Mallards, two Shovelers, a Grey Heron, at least 98 roosting Cormorants, four Moorhens, a Kingfisher and at least four Fieldfares. (Mike Smart).
Cheltenham A male and female Kingfisher at Pittville Park Lake seen on a regular basis. A male Mute Swan and six surviving cygnets still, after losing the female in the summer. Also many sightings of Goldcrests and Redwings recently. (Alan McIlquham).
