WWT Slimbridge     Three SPOONBILLS flew in from the S on the high tide. One dropped in to the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide, two carried on N. (Helen Bojaniwska). 

Coombe Hill Meadows    This morning five adult Mute Swans and seven cygnets, three adult Canada Geese including a pair with five goslings, 40 Mallards, a Little Egret, a Great White Egret, three Coots, two adult Avocets with three chicks, two adult Oystercatchers with a chick, 10+ adult Lapwings with four broods of chicks, two Little Ringed Plovers, five Curlews including a pair with chicks and at least two Redshanks. Also a Cuckoo, several Redstarts, a Garden Warbler and the usual Reed and Sedge Warblers, Whitethroats and Chiffchaffs, a family of fledged Blue Tits and singing Reed Buntings. (Mike Smart).
