Priding An OSPREY over the river then flew S, presumably the bird seen shortly afterwards at Frampton. Also a Great White Egret. (Esther Rumsey).
Frampton A WRYNECK at 10:15am near the sea wall just N of the reedbed north of Splatt Bridge. (Alan Baxter). An OSPREY flew downstream from Splatt Bridge towards Middle Point at 3:09pm. Tidenham A Firecrest heard and seen briefly 120m down Offa’s Dyke car park with a Willow Warbler and tits. Also a Green Woodpecker on Tidenham Chase. (Stephen Curtis & Carol Rushton).
Lydney Harbour This evening 14 Long-tailed Tits and two Willow Warblers by the road at the end of the rubbish tip and a Kingfisher by the bridge. (Stephen Curtis & Carol Rushton).
WWT Slimbridge This morning at Middle Point 11 Arctic Terns moved on after resting, a Great White Egret, four Curlew Sandpipers, a Turnstone, two Sanderlings, 11 Bar-tailed Godwits and eight Grey Plovers. Three Spotted Redshanks and two SPOONBILLS from Zeiss hide. (Slimbridge Sightings/Magnus Carter/Roy Kinchin). A Cattle Egret with the longhorns from Kingfisher hide. (Phil Pope). Newnham-on-Severn A Pied Flycatcher still this lunchtime, moving between private gardens and mature trees on The Green (a public area, the lane opposite the church). (Lewis Thomson).
Chavenage Lane area 2+ Red Kites and 12+ Buzzards mainly moving S and a male Stonechat. (Terry Grant).
Nailsworth A Hobby hunting over the valley this evening, and 13 Golden Plovers flying S at 6:15pm. (Terry Grant).
Hucclecote This morning at 11:40am a male Sparrowhawk in the garden mobbed by two Magpies. (Harold Smith).
