Saul Warth     Late morning a Cattle Egret, a Little Egret, four Grey Herons, 175+ Curlews, a Bar-tailed Godwit, a Redshank, a Stonechat, two Swallows, five Blackcaps, six Chiffchaffs, one singing, a pair of Grey Wagtails, six Skylarks, six Meadow Pipits and 10+ Long-tailed Tits. (MK).

Forest of Dean    A few Firecrests calling in the Yew Tree Brake area and two Wigeon and seven Little Grebes at Cannop Ponds. (Mark Hobson).

Purton to Sharpness     This morning four Curlews, three Redshanks, a Kingfisher, a pair of Stonechats, a Cetti’s Warbler and a few Sand Martins and a Swallow. (Mike Davis).

Chavenage Lane area     Two Red Kites together, two Wheatears, eight Buzzards flew S, 350+ House Martins and 100+ Swallows flew W, and at nearby Barton End a Red Kite, a covey of six Grey Partridges and a steady trickle of hirundines flying W. (Terry Grant).

Avening     At Star Lane 14 Ravens, 13 Buzzards mainly flying S, 1+ Red Kite and a flock of 200+ hirundines feeding over distant fields. (Terry Grant). 

Nailsworth     A Red Kite, 8+ Buzzards mainly flying Sand a trickle of House Martins and Swallows flying W. (Terry Grant).

Coombe Hill Meadows      This evening 20 Greylags and 60 Canada Geese all came in at dusk, 98 Teal on the Long Pool, 30 Mallards, a Grey Heron, 28 Moorhens, seven Snipe feeding on the Long Pool, a Green Sandpiper, a Buzzard, a Tawny Owl calling, 25 Swallows, four Pied Wagtails, two Meadow Pipits, at least six Chiffchaffs calling and 80 Goldfinches. (Mike Smart).
