Saul Warth     At high tide this morning 98 Grey Plovers, an Avocet, six Knot, 300+ Dunlins, 10+ Ringed Plovers, 156 Curlews, a Common Sandpiper, 27 Shelducks, eight Pintails, first of the Autumn here, and six Little Egrets. Also a male Stonechat, two male Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, two singing, two Goldcrests and two Grey Wagtails. (MK).

Frampton     From the towpath at Splatt Bridge this morning, eight Cattle Egrets, a Peregrine, a Marsh Harrier, a Golden Plover, 45 Curlews, four Pintails, 69 Wigeon with two Shovelers in from the N, a Common Sandpiper on the canal and c300 Dunlins circling the foreshore. (Gordon Hodgson).

WWT Slimbridge    From Zeiss hide 223 Black-tailed Godwits, 14 Snipe, 20 Redshanks, four Spotted Redshanks, 49 Avocets, 260 Dunlins, four Little Stints, six Curlew Sandpipers, 110 Lapwings, a Green Sandpiper, 33 Ruff, eight Golden Plovers, a Marsh Harrier, 631 Teal and six Wigeon. Sandhurst Hill     This morning four Red Kites, five Buzzards, a Goshawk, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel and a Peregrine. Also 100 House Martins, 50+ Greenfinches and two Stonechats. (Andy Jayne).

Stroud     A male Redstart at Stratford Park to the right of the playground at 1pm. (Mark Hobson).

Painswick Beacon    This morning from 6:30am to 10:15am a Hobby, a Swift, two Redwings, a Golden Plover, 31 Ravens, 11 Swallows and seven House Martins. (John Fleming).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A Water Rail feeding beside the canal this afternoon, c20 metres from the car park. (Ged Cassell). In the morning 72 Teal, 17 Mallards, two Grey Herons, a Little Egret, a Buzzard, 22 Moorhens, two Snipe, a light south-westward Skylark passage, six Meadow Pipits, 1 or 2 Swallows, a Grey Wagtail, a few Chiffchaffs calling from the hedges, 40 Goldfinches and 2 or 3 Bullfinches. Tewkesbury     At Severn Ham an adult Mute Swan and seven cygnets on the Mill Avon and a few passing Swallows and Skylarks. (Mike Smart).

Cotswold Water Park East     A Spotted Redshank on Pit 132 still. (Ian Sherriffs).

Leckhampton Hill     From the quarry car park 25 Golden Plovers flew over S then 20
minutes later the same or similar flock flying E. Also a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Buzzard, a Jay, a Stock Dove and a Chiffchaff. 30+ Golden Plovers and a Wheatear on a field just E of Hartley Farm. Also several Skylarks and a Jay heard. (Steve Brown).

Elkstone     N of Elkstone a Red Kite lifted off with a roadkill Pheasant, rapidly joined in the air by another six Red Kites, a Buzzard and two Ravens. (Steve Brown).

Stonehouse    This morning a Grey Wagtail at Bond’s Mill. Around the Ocean and fields below an adult Cormorant and two juveniles, a pale Buzzard, 41 Mallards, a Little Egret,
a Kingfisher, a Sparrowhawk, a small flock of Long-tailed Tits, a small flock of Goldfinches, seven Moorhens, five Coots and two Grey Herons. Also a Southern Hawker, five Common Darters and two Red Admirals. (Paul Sutton).
