Saul Warth     At high tide early morning was hampered by fog, just 35 Grey Plovers, an Avocet, a Common Sandpiper, 200+ Dunlins, two Ringed Plovers, 100+ Curlews, eight Little Egrets, 14 Shelducks, 27 Swallows, a House Martin, a Stonechat, two male Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, one singing, a pair of Grey Wagtails, 12 Goldfinches, a Jay and all eight Cattle Egrets sat on hawthorn bushes towards Splatt Bridge. A Fox in Hock Ditch was a patch tick. (MK). Also two Reed Buntings, a Green Woodpecker and a Great Spotted Woodpecker at Hock Ditch. (Steve Brown).

Saul     This afternoon six Cattle Egrets with the cattle in the field by next to Saul Lodge. (Simon Ashley).

WWT Slimbridge     Three eclipse male Pintails on the Eider Pen, a drake Pochard in the North America Pen and a Kingfisher on the central matrix. (Jonathan Bull). The three Spotted Redshanks this morning mobile around the site. (Neil Smart). From Zeiss hide a Curlew Sandpiper and three Little Stints with c50 Dunlins, a Spotted Redshank, 10+ Ruff, two Snipe, an Egyptian Goose, the Ross’s Goose, a Water Rail and a Cetti’s Warbler.  On one island a Buzzard eating a carcass, and two Ravens eating a carcass on the other island. Dursley    A second-calendar year Mediterranean Gull on the playing fields this afternoon. (Paul Taylor).

Gloucester     At Alney Island a Red Kite over at lunchtime. Also two Buzzards, a Green Woodpecker, a Chiffchaff and a mixed flock of 20 Swallows and House Martins over the river. (Paul Clark).

Guscar Rocks     This evening 332 Curlews, 160 Dunlins, 11 Ringed Plovers, ten Golden Plovers and two Redshanks. (John Sanders).

Chavenage Lane area     At least eight Stonechats, two Red Kites, 140+ Swallows, two Kestrels, 30+ Yellowhammers and a Corn Bunting. (Terry Grant).

Hardwicke     A Red Kite perched up at Madam’s End Farm this morning. (Steve Pullen).

Great Barrington     Several Red Kites over the fields today. (Martine Fenn).

Bishops Cleeve     c20 Red Kites over Grundon recycle site today. (Alan McIlquham).

Cheltenham     At 3:30am a Tawny Owl calling in the  garden at Naunton Park. (Steve Brown).

Ashleworth Ham     A ringing session at first light with a catch of 92 birds including 22 Meadow Pipits, seven Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaffs, nine Reed Buntings, two Goldcrests and 41 Goldfinches. Also a Little Owl, a Tawny Owl calling early on, a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk, 3 or 4 Swallows over and a light passage of Skylarks. (Mike Smart/Mervyn Greening).
