Eastington     A male BRAMBLING feeding on Sunflowers with a mixed finch flock at Claypits today. (Stefan Hawley).

Frampton    On Court Lake a Spotted Redshank, the first since 2011. Also a Redshank, a Green Sandpiper, two Great White Egret, two Grey Plovers over, 32 Gadwalls, 18 Teal, six Shovelers, 18 Wigeon and 45 Pied Wagtails on Court Field. (Nick Goatman).

Purton     This morning 16 Blackcaps, 12 Chiffchaffs, a Lesser Whitethroat, four Goldcrests, 30 Robins, 13 Song Thrushes, 11 Mistle Thrushes and two Redwings. (Francis Steuck).

Saul Warth     17 Grey Plovers, two Avocets, a Redshank, a Common Sandpiper, eight Curlews, 12 Ruff, 18 Dunlins, many more distant waders, a Red Kite flew N out of the murk, a drake Tufted Duck mid-channel at high tide, 41 Swallows, 12 House Martins, five Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap and a Grey Wagtail. WWT Slimbridge    High tide counts this morning on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide, seven Curlew Sandpipers, two Little Stints, a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, three Spotted Redshanks, two Avocets, seven Ruff, a Green Sandpiper, 15 Redshanks, 24 Black-tailed Godwits, a Sanderling and 200+ Dunlins. On the river five Bar-tailed Godwits, two Knot, 29+ Grey Plovers, three Little Stints, four Curlew Sandpipers, six Ringed Plovers, 84+ Curlews, 250+ Dunlins and a Ruff. (Neil Smart/Steve Pullen). From Middle Point/Summer Walkway two Peregrines, a Wheatear, 15 Meadow Pipits, eight Skylarks and four Swallows. Five very vocal Cetti’s Warblers, three Chiffchaffs and a Weasel ran across the path near the Otter pen. From Kingfisher hide a female Marsh Harrier, 20-30 Golden Plovers, six Ruff and a Snipe feeding with 100+ Starlings and 40 Lapwings. (Steve Pullen).

Cotswolds     At Barnsley Warren, on the Fosse Way spur, two Buzzards, a Red Kite, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 50+ Meadow Pipits, 50+ Linnets with a few Goldfinches and several Skylarks.  On the other side of the Fosse Way 20 Lapwings. At Coates, c30 mixed Swallows and House Martins on and off wires. Along the road above Middle Duntisbourne two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Green Woodpecker, two Marsh Tits, two Bullfinches, a Chiffchaff and Jays heard.  Three Stoats, an adult briefly, followed by two half-grown youngsters showing well for 20 minutes.
