Saul Warth     A GREY PHALAROPE just after high tide at 8:30am until 10:35am at least. Also 135+ Curlews, six Grey Plovers, a Knot, an Avocet, 750+ Dunlins and two Stonechats. (MK).

Gloucester     A YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER heard calling in trees behind the Tower Block carpark at Gloucester Royal Hospital at 9am, but not later this afternoon. (Matt Hall).

Chapman Cross     A male Merlin hunting over stubble fields before flying over the A419 to fields behind the Beech shelter belt. (Terry Grant).

Cotswold Water Park East     A Hobby at Whelford Pools at lunchtime today. (Ian Sherriffs).

WWT Slimbridge     From Estuary Tower this afternoon the Snow Goose with Greylags on the Dumbles, close by it the Ross’s Goose with Barnacle Geese, seven Cranes, 15 Curlews towards Middle Point, a distant Peregrine on the river, c50 Meadow Pipits, a Great White Egret on the Long Ground Pool, a Redwing over, and c40 Black-Tailed Godwits and c70 Teal on the Tack Piece. From Knott Hide two Lesser Whitethroats in the bushes with at least six Chiffchaffs and a Jay. (Chris Newton).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening 12 Greylags, 75 Canada Geese, 71 Teal, 15 Mallards, a Grey Heron, 13 Moorhens, a Little Owl and a Tawny Owl calling, a Pied Wagtail, three Stonechats, a Cetti’s Warbler singing and a Chiffchaff. (Mike Smart).
