WWT Slimbridge     A LEACH’S PETREL lingering on the River Severn over high tide, early afternoon. It flew upriver towards Saul Warth but was lost to view. c45 KITTIWAKES flew downriver.  (Scott Petrek/Martin McGill).

Frampton pools     At lunchtime two Great White Egrets, four Chiffchaffs, two Blackcap, two adult Yellow-legged Gulls, a Common Sandpiper, two Green Sandpipers, ten Great Crested Grebes and 6+ Goldcrests. (Nick Goatman).

Saul Warth    A Cattle Egret, a Little Egret, two Grey Herons, a Dark-bellied Brent Goose on the Awre bank, a Great Crested Grebe, 30+ Curlews and eight Grey Plovers. (MK).

Berkeley shore     At high tide 26 Mallards, eight Redshanks, two Curlews, eight Pied Wagtails, five Meadow Pipits, a Rock Pipit and a Bar-tailed Godwit. In the fields two Stock Doves and small numbers of Fieldfares and Redwings. (Neil Smart).

Nailsworth     A late HOBBY circling overhead for a while during the afternoon. A steady southerly movement of at least 800 Redwings and 120+ Fieldfares along the Valley throughout the day (3 brief counts). (Terry Grant).

Painswick Beacon     Early migration watch 1565 Redwings, 360 Fieldfares, 1350 Woodpigeons, 40 Stock Doves, 376 Starlings, 178 Chaffinches, 58 Goldfinches, 11 Siskins and 20 Skylarks. (John Fleming).

Forest of Dean    1000+ Woodpigeons S over Crabtree Hill by 8:40am. (Frank Williams).

Stonehouse     This morning a Jay over Bridgend. Four Goldcrests with a mixed tit flock, two Redwings, two Song Thrushes. a lot of Blackbirds and a Kingfisher along the canal at Ryeford. A small mixed tit flock and three Chiffchaffs near Hoffmann’s dam on the canal near Bond’s Mill. (Paul Sutton).
