Gloucester     At Sudmeadow the RICHARD’S PIPIT calling and showing well at times in the sheep fields this morning at SO 80711 17959. (Jeremy Holland/MK). Also four Cormorants N, a Buzzard, 40+ Redwings, 20+ Fieldfares, a Mistle Thrush, a Green Woodpecker, 6+ Meadow Pipits, three Linnets and a singing Chiffchaff. (MK). At Saintbridge pond a Little Egret, a Grey Heron. 12 Teal (8m, 4f), 30+ Mallards, five Moorhens and a Water Rail heard. (Paul Brunt).

Lydney New Grounds     A  SNOW BUNTING today on the rocks again. (Neil Hooper).

Prestbury     This morning a Hawfinch briefly at the Church, also a Peregrine, a Red Kite and a Sparrowhawk. (Mark Dowie).

Cotswolds     Today at 2:30pm, 3 or 4 Hawfinches in roadside trees on the minor road between Lower Hilcot Farm and Colesbourne at SO996147. Also two Bramblings amongst Chaffinches there. Also this afternoon, three Little Grebes on the lake at Cowley Manor Hotel. (Rob Crofton).

WWT Slimbridge     Three Marsh Harriers from Estuary Tower, two Spotted Redshanks from Robbie Garnett hide, and around the grounds two Great White Egrets, 23 Ruff, nine Bewick’s Swans, 73 White-fronted Geese, 16 Common Cranes, a Mediterranean Gull, an Egyptian Goose and a Water Rail. Frampton     From Splatt Bridge late afternoon three Marsh Harriers, two Kestrels, a Buzzard, c300 Golden Plovers over E, three Little Egrets, Fieldfares and Redwings, a Kingfisher, several Cormorants, two Curlews, a small Long-tailed Tit flock with a Goldcrest and a murmuration of c3000 Starlings. Stonehouse     Seven Siskins with a small mixed tit flock at Stanley Downton farm, four Ravens together over fields near the sewage works, a Kingfisher and a Grey Wagtail at Beard’s Mill, a Grey Heron, two Buzzards and a female Sparrowhawk over. (Paul Sutton).

Witcombe Reservoirs    WeBS count this morning 25 Greylags, two Mute Swans, 150 Mallards, seven Tufted Ducks, a female/immature Goldeneye, four Little Grebes, four Great Crested Grebes, six Cormorants, four Moorhen, 23 Coots and 16 Black-headed Gulls. (Gordon Avery).

Longney Crib     This afternoon period four Stonechats (2m, 2f), two Reed Buntings, three Pied Wagtails, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Red Kite, a female Sparrowhawk, four Cormorants, seven Little Egrets, two Grey Herons, 100+ Redwings and Fieldfares, 50 Starlings, groups of mixed Long-tailed Tits, Blue Tits and Great Tits and 200+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls and Black-headed Gulls. Leckhampton     The first garden Blackcap of the winter seen today. (Chris Furley).
