WWT Slimbridge     The BITTERN again today in the back reedbed on South Lake. 13 Cattle Egrets roosted on the Long Ground pool leaving at 8:24am. The roost can be viewed from the Estuary Tower. 68 White-fronted Geese on the Bottom New Piece from Kingfisher hide. 30 Bewick’s Swans on the Rushy. Four Avocets from Zeiss hide. Purton    This morning along the canal and river a Cormorant, Lapwing, eight Dunlins, two Redshanks, Curlew, five Wigeon, a Kingfisher, a Little Grebe and many Redwings and Fieldfares. (Mike Davis).

Coalhouse Wharf, Apperley     No sign of the Hoopoe on the verge of Gabb Lane at SO8555828654 near the Coalhouse Inn between 7:45-11:15am. Two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Treecreepers, 70+ Redwings and a Jay. (MK).
