Gloucester     At Sudmeadow the RICHARD’S PIPIT again today in the sheep fields around SO8071117959. Also a drake Mandarin, a Green Sandpiper, three Stonechats and c40 Meadow Pipits. (Alan Boddington/Alan Baxter). A male BLACK REDSTART on Gloucester Cathedral this afternoon. (Paul Clark).

Frampton      The Starling murmuration at Splatt Bridge late this afternoon was easily 10,000 birds, possibly double that. Also Fieldfares, a Kestrel and a late SWALLOW. (Mike Davis).

Saul Warth     At high tide two KITTIWAKES, 40 Curlews, a Common Sandpiper, 83 Lapwings S, two male Sparrowhawks, a Kestrel, 18 Shelducks, a Raven, a Rock Pipit, 23 Meadow Pipits and two Stonechats. (MK). Later a WATER PIPIT and 90 Dunlins. (Neil Smart).

Forest of Dean     On Woorgreens Lake 12 Goosanders, five Mallards, a Moorhen, three Canada Geese and a Grey Heron. (Paul Clark).

WWT Slimbridge     A KITTIWAKE on the Rushy briefly this morning. A DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE from the Estuary Tower on the Dumbles foreshore this morning. A MERLIN through the Tack Piece. (Jonathan Bull). The Bittern still on South Lake today but elusive. (Chris Newton).

Guscar Rocks     At high tide today, two Buzzards, a Goosander, on a freshwater pool on the landward side of the railway, 60 Mallards, 18 Wigeon, a Cormorant, two Grey Herons, 60 Herring Gulls, 100 Curlews, 45 Redshanks, four Snipe, two Collared Doves, 65 Redwings, seven Fieldfares, 37 Chaffinches, three Goldfinches, a Grey Wagtail, seven Pied Wagtails, nine Dunnocks, three Song Thrushes, seven Skylarks, 80 Carrion Crows, 80 Starlings and a Cetti’s Warbler heard. Also a dead Sandwich Tern. (Iain Crawford).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Three Pintails, 250+ Wigeon, 15 Shovelers, c20 Teal, seven Mallards, three Mute Swans, 40+ Greylags and eight Canada Geese, two Grey Herons and a female Marsh Harrier showing well. (Paul Brunt/Les Ditchburn).

Ashleworth Ham     A female Marsh Harrier, presumably same bird as at CHM, a Buzzard, eight Pintails, six Gadwalls, 90 Wigeon, five Shovelers, four Canada Geese, 150+ Teal, 89 Mallards, 41 Lapwings, three Grey Herons and five Chaffinches. (John Fletcher).

Bourton-on-the-Water     At St Lawrence church yard a Red Kite over mobbed by Crows, several Chaffinches, a female Blackbird eating hawthorn berries, two Collared Doves, two Dunnocks, a Wren and a Long-tailed Tit. Nearby at Westfield Farm two Red Kites soaring low over woodland this afternoon. (Howard Taylor).
