WWT Slimbridge     A juvenile/first winter male GREATER SCAUP from the Peng Observatory at 4pm until dusk. (Martin McGill). The BITTERN showing well this morning on South Lake. Also 15 Ruff. (Neil Smart/Helen Bojaniwska).

Gloucester     The male BLACK REDSTART still on the Cathedral today. (Anthony Lowney).

Hazelton    150 Chaffinches and ten Bramblings feeding under Beech tree shelter belts this morning on beech mast, also good numbers of Fieldfares. (Duncan Dine).

Saul Warth     This afternoon a Grey Plover, a Curlew and a Great Black-backed Gull close to the shore, also a Buzzard a Kestrel, two Song Thrushes, two Mistle Thrushes, five Meadow Pipits and 14 Chaffinches. (Steve Pullen).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge this afternoon, only a few hundred Starlings arrived to roost. Also a female Marsh Harrier, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, four Curlews, a Little Egret, two Blackcaps, two Song Thrushes, a Mistle Thrush and a Cetti’s Warbler heard. (Steve Pullen).

Halmore     A Barn Owl over Halmore Lane early evening. (Chris Newton).

Forest of Dean     At Woorgreens N.R. this afternoon birds included eight Goosanders (4m, 4f), a Bullfinch, a Coal Tit, a Goldcrest, a Green Woodpecker, a Grey Heron, two Jays, a Kestrel, a Kingfisher and six Mallards. (Anthony Dobbs).

Hawling     Up to 130 Lapwings in different flocks around the Hawling triangle this afternoon.  Also 60 Stock Doves. (Andy Lewis).
