Coombe Hill Meadows     Seven Greylags, the juvenile DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE, at least 250 Wigeon, at least 350 Teal, 60 Mallards, three Pintails, 20 Shovelers, four Coots, a Water Rail in Broadmere, three Lapwings, a Snipe, three Black-headed Gulls, at least two Stonechats, at least 50 Fieldfares and at least one Chiffchaff. WWT Slimbridge      The first-winter drake SCAUP and 50 Bewick’s Swans on the Rushy this morning. On South Lake the BITTERN showing again on the E shore of the lake. (Slimbridge Sightings/Ian Sherriffs).

Stonehouse    In the field below Hoffman’s dam a Snipe, a male Stonechat, a Grey Heron, a Buzzard over and a Little Egret flushed out of a ditch at Downton Farm. (Paul Sutton). A Kingfisher and Little Grebe on the Stroudwater Canal this afternoon near Bonds Mill Bridge. (Mike Leahy).
