Whitminster     A BITTERN at 9:30am today on the last piece of disused Stroudwater Canal. It took off flew and landed 100ft along the bank in the direction of Whitminster. (Tanya Allen).

Berkeley     Three COMMON DOLPHINS, probably two adults and a calf,  headed up river past Berkeley Power Station at 1:20pm. Then headed S down river past Severn House Farm at 2:30pm. (Paul Taylor).

WWT Slimbridge     A MERLIN from Estuary Tower and the first-winter drake SCAUP still on the Rushy. (Ian Ralphs/Dot Jones/Tim Salkeld).

Quedgeley     The RING-NECKED PARAKEET again at Rea Bridge this morning. (Steve Pullen).

Hardwicke     Two possibly three Kingfishers, fishing along Dimore Brook behind Overbrook Road at 2pm. (Sue Beynon).

Coombe Hill Meadows     22 Mallards on the icy canal by the Wharf, a male Stonechat, 30 Fieldfares and a Reed Bunting heard. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     30 Teal on a small hole in the ice. (Mike Smart).

Tewkesbury     Along the River Severn from Lower Lode to Chaceley Stock two Mute Swans, five Wigeon, 40 Mallards, a Little Egret and two Little Grebes. (Mike Smart).

Cheltenham     A Red Kite high above Winchcombe Street in the town centre this morning. (Howard Taylor).

Maisemore     From Court Lake and 1.5 miles upstream from the weir this afternoon six Moorhens, two Mute Swans, ten Snipe, two Green Sandpipers, two Little Grebes, nine Teal, a Buzzard, 17 Meadow Pipits, 37 Chaffinches, ten Goldfinches, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Green Woodpeckers, a Song Thrush, 15 Fieldfares and  five Mallards.
