WWT Slimbridge     The first-winter drake SCAUP and 50 Bewick’s Swans on the Rushy this morning. On South Lake the BITTERN showed throughout the morning and early afternoon fishing along E shore of the deep unfrozen section of the lake. (Martin McGill).

Tewkesbury     A Great White Egret this morning up river from the sailing club, and landed on Worcs side of the Avon. Also a Kingfisher. (Sarah Loaring).

Frampton pools     82 Gadwalls, 22 Mallards, 24 Wigeon, eight Teal, 42 Tufted Ducks, 72 Mute Swans, an adult Yellow-legged Legged Gull, two Chiffchaffs, two Lesser Redpolls, six Reed Buntings, 80+ Skylarks, 15 Meadow Pipits, 80+ Redwings, 24 Fieldfares, eight Linnets, 28 Goldfinches and three Common Cranes. (Nick Goatman).

Halmore     Garden birds in the snow today included eight Greenfinches, two Marsh Tits, two Coal Tits, a Redwing, a Song Thrush, two Stock Doves and a Sparrowhawk through. (Chris Newton).

Hardwicke    Along the canal from Sellars Bridge this afternoon, a Little Grebe, a Kestrel, four Red-legged Partridges, 40 Redwings, eight Fieldfares, three Song Thrushes, two Cormorants over, 35 Black-headed Gulls, two Mute Swans and 28 Mallards. (Steve Pullen).

Cheltenham     A Treecreeper at SO968198 in Little Herbert’s area. Also two Goldcrests. (Rose Lennard). A Tawny Owl again heard in the area of Pittville Lawn late this evening. (Howard Taylor).

Hucclecote     At midday c20 Black-headed Gulls and three Herring Gulls circling very low over the garden sometimes landing and a Grey Heron flew over heading E. (Harold Smith).
