Gloucester     The male BLACK REDSTART still on the Cathedral at midday. (Stuart Reading).

Cotswold Water Park West      The immature SPOONBILL at Shorncote still on the floods this afternoon. (Jon Mercer). Also 188 Teal and 6+ Chiffchaffs. (Nigel Pleass).

Chavenage Lane     Three Red Kites together, a Kestrel, seven Buzzards and 3000+ Woodpigeons. (Terry Grant).

Chapman Cross     A female MERLIN and later a female Sparrowhawk hunting amongst a flock of 300+ Skylarks in a stubble field. (Terry Grant).

WWT Slimbridge     The first-winter drake SCAUP still on the Rushy today. Three Egyptian Geese, the Snow Goose and the Ross’s Goose on the Dumbles. (Jonathan Bull).

Frampton pools     A male Goldeneye, a Great White Egret, four Little Egrets, 46 Gadwalls, 77 Tufted Ducks, 16 Teal, four Wigeon, ten Shovelers, 24 Mallards, 49 Moorhens, 157 Coots, 51 Mute Swans, four Little Grebes, a Great Crested Grebe, 19 Cormorants, a Raven, two Cetti’s Warblers and 15 Redwings. Plusterwine    Between Plusterwine and Guscar Rocks at high tide this morning, 290 Wigeon, 240 Curlews, 50 Dunlins, 80 Redshanks, 12 Oystercatchers, 12 Shelducks, three Grey Herons, two Cormorants, seven Collared Doves, a Buzzard, a Kestrel, 40 Rooks, eight Redwings, 25 Meadow Pipits, eight Long-tailed Tits and 70 Starlings. Highnam Woods     This afternoon three Marsh Tits visiting the feeders with numerous Coal Tits, Blue Tits, Great Tits, a Chaffinch and a Nuthatch. Also in the woods two Goldcrests, nine Long-tailed Tits, seven Goldfinches, a Wren, another Nuthatch and a couple of Dunnocks. Heard only several Jays alarm-calling, a Raven, a Stock Dove and a Buzzard out past the W edge of the woods. At sunset a Kestrel was perched immediately across the A40 from the reserve entrance. Forest of Dean     Wigeon still present on the pond, difficult to ascertain numbers as some were flying in and out both ends of the pond. An odd Gadwall type drake with a female Mallard. (Chris Keeling).

Coberley     Four Red Kites circling this evening over fields E of Coberley church. (Rose Lennard).

Tresham area     Early morning a Little Owl, two Peregrines and two Corn Buntings. (Paul Rich).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Two Goosanders today. (Eric Harris).

Stonehouse     A redhead Goosander on the Stroudwater canal by Boakes Drive at 10:15am. Later relocated by St Cyr’s church. Also a male Kingfisher at the Ocean and around Bonds Mill. A good number of Redwings over SE. Also male and female Blackcaps on the garden feeder. A Little Grebe near Hoffman’s dam. (Paul Sutton).

Cheltenham     At 11am this morning two Little Egrets in Benhall brook c50 yards from the bridge, and two Great Spotted Woodpeckers chasing each other in the top of a tree in Benhall Avenue. (David Norman).

Winchcombe     At least six Red Kites circling over Sudeley Hill at dusk. (Gill & Andrew Worthington).

Warden Hill/Leckhampton     This morning three male Bullfinches, male and female Blackcap, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Redwing, four tit species including Long-tailed and Coal, a Muntjac and two Foxes. (Eric Harris).
