Forest of Dean    From Brierley to the bottom of Crabtree Hill via Serridge and Drybrook Road Station four Hawfinches, two Crossbills, a Goldcrest, two Ravens, three Coal Tits, c20 Chaffinches feeding in the leaf letter with a Brambling, a Jay and three Long-tailed Tits. (Roy Kinchin). At Cannop ponds a Dipper, six Mandarins, six Goosanders and two Marsh Tits. At Parkend at Crown Lane three Hawfinches and at St Paul’s Church two Crossbills, a Treecreeper and a Nuthatch. (Karle Burford).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote Reedbeds the SPOONBILL flew in to the flooded field at 3:50pm, and fed with eight Little Egrets. Also a female Sparrowhawk, three Water Rails, a Grey Wagtail, three Cetti’s Warblers and a Barn Owl at 4:30pm. (Jon Mercer).

Cotswold Water Park East    Three Red Crested Pochards on Pit 111a, an Egyptian Goose on Pit 127, a Green Sandpiper on the flooded field at the entrance to Pit 132, three Bullfinches further down track and Grey Wagtail at Kempsford Sewage Works. (Ian Sherriffs).

Fairford     Four Grey Partridges still at Farhill Farm at SP16651 02363 today. (Ian Sherriffs).

Gloucester    The male BLACK REDSTART still on the Cathedral today. (Paul Masters).

WWT Slimbridge     A male MERLIN sat on top of a bush by the pillbox for 10 minutes. (Les Ditchburn). Nine Knot on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. Two Egyptian Geese on the Rushy, later on the Tack Piece. Also a Bar-headed Goose there. Two Water Rails from Willow hide. (Terry Stevenson/Slimbridge Sightings).

Frampton     On Court Lake this afternoon a Great White Egret, four Little Grebes, three Great Crested Grebes, 54 Mute Swans, 27 Tufted Ducks, 26 Gadwalls, 50+ Coots, 15 Cormorants, 15 Goldfinches, a Jay and a Coal Tit. (MK).

Colthill     30+ Pied Wagtails on stubble at SO 72272 10022 this afternoon. (MK).

Westonbirt     A Treecreeper along the Tree Walkway in Silk Wood today. (Martine Fenn).

Dursley     A female Tawny Owl calling near Weavers Close at 6pm. (Shane Long).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning two Mute Swans, 197 Greylags, 245 Canada Geese, a Shelduck, c1000 Wigeon, 12 Gadwalls, 60 Mallards, 1200 Teal, 90 Pintails, 60 Shovelers, ten Tufted Ducks, a Pochard, 20 Coots, 200 Lapwings, six Pied Wagtails and 20 Fieldfares. (Mike Smart).

Mitton     On the wet field along the River Avon, ten Wigeon, 20 Teal, 60 Lapwings and five Black-headed Gulls. (Mike Smart).
