Ozleworth Park area     Two Red Kites, seven Buzzards, two Sparrowhawks, an adult Goshawk, a Raven, a Kestrel, 16 Greenfinches, 12 Chaffinches, two Goldcrests, 23 Linnets, 400+ Carrion Crows, 200+ Woodpigeons, 45 Fieldfare, a Corn Bunting and five Red-legged Partridges. Near Pike Quarry, a Kestrel and a Brambling briefly at the edge of Owlpen Wood and a Buzzard. (Paul Sutton).

Ashleworth Ham     An immature Russian White-fronted Goose this afternoon. Also 19 Shovelers, 37 Gadwalls, 33 Pintails and a male Tufted Duck. (Andy Jayne).

Frampton    From Splatt Bridge a Barn Owl hunting 7:30-7:55am. (Alan Jeffcutt/MK). Also 19 Shelducks, 75 Golden Plovers S, 55 Curlews, a Marsh Harrier over the 100-Acre flushed four Bewick’s Swans and 100+ Lapwings, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, a Cetti’s Warbler heard, 15 Goldfinches, 20+ Linnets, two Greenfinches and a Roe Deer. Stonehouse    The redhead Goosander diving for fish on the Stroudwater Canal still today close to the Ryeford Road bridge. (Terry Stevenson).

WWT Slimbridge     On South Lake the first-winter SCAUP, a female Goldeneye still, 16 Avocets and 68 Common Gulls. (Ian Hull/Tim Jukes). A Water Rail and a Reed Bunting at Willow hide. (Jonathan Bull). A Snipe from the Martin Smith hide this afternoon. (Bob Shiret).

Forest of Dean     c20 Mandarins on Cannop ponds, including the flooded area on the E side of the access road. Four Wigeon (3m, 1f) and four Little Grebes on the upper pond; also several Coal Tits, a Marsh Tit and a Nuthatch at the feeders. A drake Goosander on the lower pond, and a Grey Wagtail at the Stoneworks. (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

Cotswold Water Park West     On Pit 41 12 Goosanders, on Pit 65 three Goldeneyes, on Pit 31 26 Red Crested Pochards and on Pit 16 two Goldeneyes. (Paul Rich). Three Goosanders (2m, 1f) on the lake behind Tetbury Road in Cirencester Park this afternoon. (Jon Mercer).

Aylburton Warth/Guscar Rocks    Two Shelducks; 15 Wigeon, 600 Teal, two Buzzards, five Lapwings, 150 Dunlins, 187 Curlews, at least 15 Redshanks, two Meadow Pipits, 20+ Fieldfares, 40+ Redwings and two Ravens. (Mike Smart).

Cirencester area     Several hundred Starlings feeding on muddy outdoor pig fields S of Down’s Farm (SP033065) and c250 Lapwings resting on adjacent wet grassland. Flocks of >80 Redwings/Fieldfares on the last hawthorn berries and scores of Goldfinches foraging in nearby winter bird seed plots. (Harvey Sherwood).

Taddington     At lunchtime today, six Skylarks calling, at least 24 Fieldfares and a Buzzard. (Andrew Worthington).

Bourton-on-the-Water    In St Lawrence churchyard birds included a Robin collecting nesting material, four Long-tailed Tits and a Chaffinch. (Howard Taylor).
