WWT Slimbridge    100+ White-fronted Geese on the Tack Piece viewed from the Estuary Tower, male and female Goldeneye in the Eider pen, 9+ Snipe, a Peregrine, 15 Cranes including unringed adult and a juvenile, a Reed Bunting in the grounds, a Great White Egret over the Top New Piece and a Little Grebe on South Lake. (Paul Masters/MK). A male Mandarin in the channel by Hogarth hide. The first-winter drake SCAUP was on the Rushy then flew to South Lake at 1:50pm. (Mike Davis).

Bourton-on-the-Water     A Barn Owl hunting at 12:30pm at Folly Farm. (Duncan Dine).

Gloucester    The male BLACK REDSTART still on the Cathedral today. (Terry Grant). On Robinswood Hill 13 Long-tailed Tits, three Jays, two Ravens, 12+ Chaffinches and three Great Spotted Woodpeckers this afternoon. (John Fletcher).

Coln Rogers     A Curlew calling at altitude and flying NE near Coln Rogers at midday. (Harvey Sherwood).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge a male Kingfisher by the bridge, two female Kestrels, 17 Curlews, three Redwings, c20 Fieldfares, a Song Thrush, eight Meadow Pipits, five Greenfinches and a Little Egret and a Peregrine over. (Chris Newton).

Twyning     Upham Meadow totally under water, only the very top of the Avon bank emerging, seven Greylags, 140 Canada Geese, 59 Wigeon and 13 Pied Wagtails on the flood-bank. A Great Crested Grebe on the flood meadow and 50 Black-headed Gulls. (Mike Smart).

Coombe Hill Meadows     The usual approach along canal bank totally under water, so approach from the northern (Apperley) side. Two Mute Swans, 800 Wigeon, 75 Teal, ten Mallards, 100 Pintails, three Shovelers, at least 100 Lesser Black-backed & Herring Gulls arrived in the evening, probably to roost, 100 Redwings, several flocks of 100+ Starlings going NE. Notgrove     24 Grey Partridges in a stubble field, seen from a bus, at roughly SP107210. Also a Buzzard perched in an ash tree. (Howard Taylor).

Cheltenham    A pair of Goldfinches feeding on an ornamental tree in High Street by Regents Arcade. Two Cormorants on the superstructure at Dowdeswell Reservoir. (Howard Taylor).

Bishops Cleeve     A Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and Redwing all in the cemetery and a male and female Blackcap in the garden regularly. (Alan McIlquham).
