North Cerney     On the large field just E of the village at SP025082, two Grey Partridges, 75+ Golden Plovers and c20 each of Fieldfares and Linnets.  At the outdoor piggery at SP035066 thousands of birds including hundreds of Corvids (mostly Rooks) and scores of large gulls including two Great Black-backed Gulls and 1000+ Starlings. Forest of Dean    In the Blaize Bailey area today a Red Kite, a Peregrine and a minimum of 250 Chaffinches, 30 Bramblings and three Hawfinches. (Andy Jayne). 6+ Hawfinches at Parkend in treetops and a Brambling amongst the Chaffinches. At Crabtree Hill another Hawfinch, Siskins and a Green Woodpecker. Also a Goshawk, 3+ Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Raven, two Crossbills and a Great Spotted Woodpecker.  70+ Mandarins, six Teal, seven Wigeon and four Little Grebes on Upper Cannop. WWT Slimbridge     The first-winter drake SCAUP still on the Rushy. 44 Snipe on the Tack Piece. A Water Rail from the Willow hide. 120+ White-fronted Geese and 28 Snipe from Kingfisher hide on the Bottom New Piece. In the collection wild birds included a Kingfisher, male and female Goldeneyes, a Chiffchaff, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Treecreeper. Saul Warth     The DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE flew up river from Hock Ditch at 8:53am. (Eric Palmer).

Slimbridge    A Barn Owl over the Slimbridge Road between the village and the Tudor Arms. (Roy Kinchin).

Frampton pools     A Woodcock, a male Red Crested Pochard, three male Pochards, 55 Gadwalls, 62 Tufted Ducks, 40 Teal, four Shovelers, 22 Cormorants, four Greylags, 418 Black-headed Gulls, ten Common Gulls, four Herring Gulls, 50+ Redwings, 12 Fieldfares, a Treecreeper, a Nuthatch, two Lesser Redpolls and five Siskins today. Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 132 at lunchtime two Wigeon, in the hedgerows two Bullfinches, two Goldcrests, six Goldfinches, three Redwings, five Fieldfares, a Reed Bunting, a Greenfinch and a Chiffchaff. Also a Kestrel, a Buzzard and Raven over. 12 Chiffchaff at Kempsford Sewage Treatment Works. (Ian Sherriffs).

Stroud     A female Goosander on the canal W of Lodgemore Mill. (Richard Williams).

Thrupp     A Dipper on the River Frome near Hope Mill and a Green Woodpecker calling and a Muntjac beside the canal near Ham Mill. (Bridgette King/MK).

Kingswood     A Little Egret on the Tubbs Factory roof. A male Blackcap on the garden feeder. (Thomas McCarthy).

Guscar Rocks/Aylburton Warth     WeBS count today two Bewick’s Swans, a Mute Swan, a Canada Goose, 17 Shelducks, 80 Wigeon, 155 Teal, ten Mallards, a Golden Plover, 240 Dunlins, 540 Curlews, five Snipe and a JACK SNIPE, 24 Redshanks and five Black-headed Gulls. (Mike Smart). At Guscar Rocks birds included 100+ Dunlins, a Cormorant, an Oystercatcher, a Grey Heron, Lapwing, a Pied Wagtail, a Grey Wagtail, Redwing, a large flock of Skylarks and a Meadow Pipit. Chavenage Lane area     4000+ Woodpigeons, 1300+ corvids, seven Lapwings and a Red Kite. (Terry Grant).

Avening     At Star Farm a Little Owl sunning itself on a barn, and a Red Kite flying over. (Terry Grant).
