WWT Slimbridge    From Estuary Tower nine DARK-BELLIED BRENT GEESE on the Dumbles. The drake SCAUP on the Rushy still. In the Pond Zone four Lesser Redpolls in the Alders. (Dot Jones). Two Avocets on Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. (Paul Masters). A Water Rail from Willow hide this morning. (Phil Ray).

Forest of Dean    From Woorgreens to Brierley and back 14 Goosanders (3 males), four male Teal, two Snipe, a Goshawk, two Buzzards, three Stock Doves, c200 Bramblings, c100 Chaffinches, 40+ Siskins, a male Lesser Redpoll and two Hawfinches. The finches were difficult to count amongst the trees, probably more. (MK). Also at least six Crossbills and 20 Hawfinches. Two Dippers in the Cannop Brook today. Six Goosanders, a drake Gadwall, 41 Mallards, 84 Mandarins, 12 Tufted Ducks, nine Wigeon, three Mute Swans, two Greylags, ten Coots, three Little Grebes on Cannop Ponds. Also a Marsh Tit, a Mistle Thrush and a Sparrowhawk. (Mark Hobson).

Gloucester     The male BLACK REDSTART again on the Cathedral between 2:30-3pm. (Colin Greenfield).

Cheltenham    This morning at 11:30am Red Kite circled for several minutes over the Promenade. (David Norman).

Prestbury    At 11:15am 14 Teal flew N, 100+ Redwings in the fields between Queenwood Grove and Gravel Pit Lane. At 11:36am a male Brambling with a male and female Chaffinch at the E end of Shaw Green Lane. (Ken Heron).

Charlton Kings    At Timbercombe this afternoon two Bullfinches, two Goldcrests, two Jays, 100+ Jackdaws, a Treecreeper, a Song Thrush, 11 Goldfinches, eight Long-tailed Tits and 27 mixed Blue Tits and Great Tits. (Ian Davies).

Aylburton    Belated news for Thursday 9th February, a Common Crane on fields below Stockwell Lane. (David Crabbe per Martin Vaisey).

Farmington     A Little Owl at Empshill Copse today. (Andy Lewis).

Cambridge     Two female Stonechats hunting off a hedge along the Cam. Nearby two Chiffchaffs. (Paul Sutton).

Coombe Hill Meadows      Four Mute Swans, ten Canada Geese, a Shelduck, 300 Wigeon, 250 Teal, 12 Gadwalls, 30 Mallards, ten Pintails, 40 Shovelers, six Tufted Ducks, 20 Coots, two Oystercatchers, four Snipe, at least three Great Spotted Woodpeckers drumming, 15 Pied Wagtails, at least three Song Thrushes, a Chaffinch and a Reed Bunting singing. Cobney Meadows     Five Wigeon, 80 Teal, five Mallards, six Grey Herons, 40 Meadow Pipits and 30 Rooks. (Mike Smart).
