WWT Slimbridge     The WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER again today on South Lake or the Rushy and showing well at times. (Slimbridge Sightings). A MERLIN on Middle Point cross fence from Estuary Tower this morning. (Andy Chapman). An Egyptian Goose in the field S of Kingfisher hide with Greylags and White-fronted Geese. (Sam Walker). The first-winter drake SCAUP still on the Rushy. (Steve Pullen).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Four Mute Swans, 64 Greylags, a first-winter White-fronted Goose with the Greylags but flew off at 7:30am, 97 Canada Geese, 12 Shelducks, 430 Wigeon, 100+ Teal, four Gadwalls, 25 Mallards, 21 Pintails, 53 Shovelers, 16 Tufted Ducks, 15 Coots, a Water Rail squealing, two Oystercatchers, 25 Lapwings, a Dunlin, a Snipe, two Curlews, a Great Black-backed Gull, five Lesser Black-backed Gulls, ten Herring Gulls, 2-3 Skylarks singing, at least 3 Cetti’s Warblers singing and at least four singing Reed Buntings. Ashleworth Ham     Two Mute Swans, 15 Wigeon, 151 Teal, three Mallards, six Pintails, two Shovelers, three Snipe, 70 Carrion Crows and 100 Starlings. (Mike Smart).
