Stinchcombe Hill     This morning a male WHEATEAR, three Stonechats, a singing Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 13 Meadow Pipits, a few Linnets, a Peregrine and a steady movement of Woodpigeons over N. (James Robinson).

Awre    This morning the RICHARD’S PIPIT still at SO7205908775 feeding in tractor tracks between the obvious lone bush and the shoreline reedbed. (Dave Hughes). Park at the church and follow the footpath out to the shoreline. Please keep to public right of way and don’t wander around in private fields. Thank you.  

WWT Slimbridge    A CATTLE EGRET on South Lake again and a female Goldeneye. From Robbie Garnett hide 100+ Sand Martins feeding over fields to the N. Also five Bewick’s Swans and 198 White-fronted Geese. (Slimbridge Sightings). From Zeiss hide a MERLIN, a Marsh Harrier and a Peregrine, six Ruff and 12 Avocets. From Kingfisher hide a Knot with 291 Black-tailed Godwits. (Tim Jukes).

Saul Warth 80+ Curlews, 12 Oystercatchers, 21 Dunlins, three Grey Plovers, a Peregrine and 20 Meadow Pipits. Three Tufted Ducks (2m, 1f) and a male Mandarin on Saul Lodge pond. (MK). A Kestrel hunting along the hedgerow by Hock Ditch. (Nigel Young).

Frampton     On the flashes N of Splatt Bridge a Little Egret, eight Redshanks and two pairs of Shovelers and along the canal a Cetti’s Warbler and three Chiffchaffs singing. (MK). From Splatt Bridge this morning at least five Stonechats, c30 Barnacle Geese S, c40 Curlews, two Reed Buntings, several Skylarks, several Meadow Pipits, a Chiffchaff, three Little Egrets and a Buzzard. Around the pools nine Chiffchaffs, 17 Sand Martins, a juvenile male Goldeneye, 15 Redwings, two Fieldfares, two Oystercatchers, three Cetti’s Warblers, three Grey Wagtails, 21 Pied Wagtails, seven Buzzards, a Raven, 104 Tufted Ducks, three Gadwalls, six Teal, 15 Little Egrets and a Kingfisher. Cam     A Red Kite over Tesco at 10:41am. (Donna Cook). A Chiffchaff singing on Cam Long Down at 10:30am. (Phil Pope).

Gloucester     A Red Kite over Hempsted at 11am. (Terry Stevenson).

Aylburton     Two Red Kites over Pool Farm, Upper Common for some time this afternoon and a small bat flying at 4pm. (Martin Vaisey).

Coombe Hill Meadows     c220 Black-tailed Godwits today. (Duncan Dine).

Longney Crib     This afternoon walk an Oystercatcher, two Ravens, two Mallards, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Sparrowhawk, 195 Black-headed Gulls, 51 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a Tawny Owl heard hooting in the old orchard. (John Fletcher).

Twyning     At Upham Meadow observed from Bredon, because the meadow is 80% flooded seven Mute Swans, lots of Greylags and Canada Geese, two Grey Herons, two Peregrines 100 yards apart on the grass, two Oystercatchers, eight Curlews; ,200 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, two Common Gulls, 50 Black-headed Gulls and five Skylarks. Chavenage Lane area     Three Red Kites, three Stonechats and 70 Golden Plovers roosting in a field at nearby Barton End. (Terry Grant).

Avening     Two Red Kites at Star Farm. (Terry Grant).

Chapman Cross     Three Red Kites flew E and 400+ Golden Plovers, many of them in full summer plumage, roosting in a field. (Terry Grant).
