Forest of Dean     A TREE PIPIT back on territory at Woorgreens/Crabtree Hill today. (Frank Williams).

Stinchcombe Hill     A male Redstart, three Wheatears (1m, 2f), two Bullfinches, two Mistle Thrushes, a Song Thrush, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker , six Chiffchaffs, numerous singing Skylarks, a Buzzard and six Long-tailed Tits. (Shane Long).

Newnham-on-Severn     A Hawfinch and five Bullfinches around the church. (David Smith).

Chavenage Lane area     A Wheatear, a Red Kite and 15 Buzzards. (Terry Grant).

Newent Woods     Birds today included a male Goshawk flushed Jays, four Red Kites, a Buzzard, a Sparrowhawk, a female Hawfinch, a Marsh Tit, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Mistle Thrush, a Nuthatch and a Treecreeper. (Les Ditchburn).

WWT Slimbridge     A Spotted Redshank with Black-tailed Godwits on the Top New Piece. (Martin McGill).

Whitminster     This evening c70 Russian White-fronted Geese flew over heading NE. (Martin McGill/Jeremy Squire).

Halmore     In the woods this morning a Nuthatch, two Treecreepers, several Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler singing, two Goldcrests, three Great Spotted Woodpeckers, four Stock Doves, two Ravens, and two Buzzards and a Grey Heron over. Also two Commas and many Brimstones, male and female. (Chris Newton).

Twyning     Seven Curlews on the Great Meadow at 2pm, viewed from Dock Lane picnic site, Bredon (Worcs). (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

Gloucester     On Robinswood Hill today two Green Woodpeckers, a Nuthatch, two Buzzards, a Raven, two Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap. (Paul Brunt). At Sandhurst today nine Mute Swans, four Greylags, two Teal, 30 Mallards, four Tufted Ducks, at least ten Grey Herons, four Coots, 50 Common Gulls, ten Lesser Black-backed Gulls, three Skylarks, three Blackcaps, at least 12 Chiffchaffs, a Treecreeper and 20 Carrion Crows. Stonehouse    A garden Blackcap today, now a regular visitor. (Paul Sutton).

Nailsworth      A Wheatear on a wall from the lay-by at Barton End and two Buzzards over nearby. A female Sparrowhawk over Morrison’s car park. (Paul Sutton).
