WWT Slimbridge     At least 100 LITTLE GULLS N upriver this morning. The Spotted Redshank on South Lake. Four GARGANEYS (3m, 1f) on the Tack Piece. On the Dumbles a pair of Peregrines with a kill, a Great White Egret from Zeiss hide. (Slimbridge Sightings/Jeremy Holland/Paul Masters/Paul Rich). At 9:40am a SWIFT over the Rushy. (Tim McGrath). A Green Sandpiper on the Rushy. (Roberta Goodall). A Common Tern flew over the car park at 1:10pm. (Nigel Tucker). A Red Kite over the rookery at 1:15pm. (Bridgette King/MK). A drake Goldeneye displaying and a drake Pochard chasing Redheads both in the Eider Pen. (Paul Masters/Neil Smart/MK).

Frampton     17 LITTLE GULLS, 15 adults and two first-summer, at 1:50pm but did not linger. Also three Oystercatchers, two Common Sandpipers, three Yellow Wagtails, 100+ Sand Martins, 18 Swallows, three House Martins, two Reed Warblers, a Sedge Warbler, 27 Blackcaps, 22 Chiffchaffs and two Willow Warblers. (Nick Goatman). Two Swifts  over the Sailing Lake this evening. (James Robinson).

Saul Warth     At high tide 120+ Bar-tailed Godwits, an Avocet, six Grey Plovers, 1+ Whimbrel, 15 Curlews, two Oystercatchers, 50 Dunlins, a Common Sandpiper and a Great White Egret flew W. (Gordon Hodgson/Neil Smart/MK). A Yellow Wagtail very early (GH) and a Whitethroat late morning. (MK).

Stinchcombe Hill     The RING OUZEL still at 9am showing and calling in SSSI land below the public car park. (James Robinson).

Purton     29 Whimbrels, five Bar-tailed Godwits, a Grey Plover, three Dunlins, two Oystercatchers, three Swifts, 140 Swallows, 30 House Martins, 20 Sand Martins, 50 Linnets and 300 Goldfinches through between 6-8pm. (Francis Steuck).

Highnam Woods     A couple of short bursts of song from a Nightingale, but not seen, this morning. (Ken Hurcombe).

Longney     Two Sedge Warblers, two Shelducks, 200 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 150 Black-headed Gulls, six Cormorants, three Mallards, two Swallows, two Blackcaps, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Sparrowhawk and a Buzzard today. (John Fletcher).

Winchcombe     At Old Brockhampton Road/New Meadow Barn at least two Green Woodpeckers calling, a Buzzard, Chiffchaffs calling, 5+ Goldfinches, 4+ Chaffinches, a Goldcrest. Also Brimstone, Peacock, Orange Tip, and Common Blue butterflies. (Gill & Andrew Worthington).

Cheltenham    At 4pm a Swallow flew W over Benhall. (David Norman). At Pittville Lake at the Albert Road end a Buzzard calling, a pair of Moorhens nesting on the island, a Goldcrest and a Chiffchaff heard. (Howard Taylor). In the Benhall Green area either side of Robert Burns Avenue in Cheltenham this evening a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Mistle Thrush, two Chiffchaffs, two Blackcaps and a Garden Warbler. (Keith White).

Miserden     A Red Kite very low at 1pm and four House Martins over the village centre. (Nikki Smith).

Ashleworth Ham     A Mute Swan, five Greylag Geese, four Canada Geese, four Shelducks, 15 Teal, five Gadwalls, 20 Mallard, ten Shovelers, two Great Crested Grebes, a Little Grebe, 15 Coots, an Oystercatcher, two Swallows, a Whitethroat, two Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler and 2 or 3 Chiffchaffs. Hasfield Ham     13 Mute Swans, two Canada Geese, 20 Mallards, four Curlews, a Green Sandpiper, 2 or 3 Skylarks, five Redstarts, 2 or 3  Chiffchaffs and 1+ Reed Buntings. (Mike Smart).
